"The Wickliffe
kids did a great job singing The Biggest Best Snowman song.
All of the students assembled first thing in the morning at a Town Meeting;
then they presented the song to me. I was overwhelmed and very deeply touched....
it was clear to me that they had ownership in the process of making this music.
Thus, the gift they had meant for my ears ... was a meaningful and heartfelt
lesson for all. Wouldn't all good teachers like to have that done at the end
of the day? Congratulations!" - Will Hillenbrand, illustrator

"Dear Sarah and Lisa:
The children talked today at our meeting about your concert. I thought that
you might enjoy hearing what they thought. Each child contributed a sentence.
'I liked when they were singing the songs.'
'I like the funny sound when they rubbed the guitar with that thing.'
'When they played the other guitar, I liked it.'
'I liked the watermelon song!'
Thanks to both of you for a wonderful concert with and for young children. Your
pace was great, the songs were lively and of high interest. We loved the tunes
and can't stop singing, 'I'm in the mood ...' It was really neat to
expose the children to a variety of instruments. They were fascinated! Thank
you from all of us ..."

"We loved your work
with the children this past spring. The benefits from it stayed with the
children and showed up in many ways, including a performance for the whole
school in a Town Meeting. In my opinion, your putting the children's
writing to music ... inspired them to write more with rich language and
artistic imagery. It contributed to their view of themselves as worthy
writers and strongly motivated them to write seriously in their morning
journals.
This was the kind of program we should be having - something
that enhances what the children are already doing.
Most of all, it was
such a pleasure working with you ... Please know that Montrose really, really
loved the Prairie Orchid experience."
Margie Harris, teacher, Montrose Elementary School

"A combination of folk-bluegrass-country
melody floats through the air. Functioning as the Pied Pipers ... Sarah Goslee Reed and
Lisa Hill have the attention of their audience." - The Dublin News

"[Theirs is] the kind of music that takes you
down a forgotten country road on a clear spring day - the kind that may even persuade you to
fling the cell phone out the window."
